Providing immediate relief to people in crisis

Supporting those affected by bush fires

RRT Food Boxes

Working with people in crisis is at the heart of what we do at the Rapid Relief Team (RRT)

After wanting to do more for families and individuals affected by domestic violence, RRT designed the Food Box to act an emergency food bank for people and families in need.

The RRT Food Box comes in two different sizes, and contain a variety of non-perishable, long-life food.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Support

RRT has been stepping in to support people in self-quarantine for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak by delivering RRT Food Boxes.

At this point in time, we’re currently supporting people in self-quarantine in Queensland who have been referred by the Community Recovery service. We hope to expand our support to the other states once we receive additional support for this initiative.

To qualify for support, recipients must meet the following criteria, and be referred to our service by QLD Community Recovery service:

  • Employed on a casual or temporary basis;
  • In self-quarantine at home, not hospitalised;
  • Documentation confirming need for quarantine.

If you meet the criteria above, please reach out to the QLD Community Recovery service who will be able to assess your situation, and organise support through this initiative should you qualify.
