Perth 23rd June 2017
The Vinnies Society in Australia works hard to assist around 105,000 homeless and others combating social injustice, particularly in areas of; housing, health, finance and education. This event is held annually in every capital city, and raises around 60% of their yearly funds.

This event is about so much more than spending one no-frills night, sleeping on cardboard, in the thick of winter. It supports advocacy efforts on behalf of Australians experiencing homelessness. It brings into focus the impact of poverty on the lives of 2.5 million+ people in our prosperous country.

Adelaide 29th June 2017
In total $619,388 was raised at the Adelaide Sleepout, with the highest fundraising CEO collecting $164,000!
On the evening of 29th June 2017, the SA event took place on the premises of Government House in the heart of Adelaide City. 125 local CEOs rose to the challenge! Despite the drizzling rain on arrival, enthusiasm thrived! Everyone was determined to stick to their commitment, regardless of the weather.
After some presentations and a Fred’s Van Soup Tea, rugged up participants then found a place to sleep under the stars. They were provided with a beanie, gloves and some cardboard for the night.
The Adelaide RRT assisted in the evening providing 175 participants and setup crew with barista coffees, hot chocolates and cookies. RRT returned at 4:30am the following morning to a chilly 4 degrees to start serving a gourmet breakfast. After a damp night in the cold, a hot meal and cheerful greeting was the perfect remedy!
Refreshed from a delicious breakfast and exchanging of experiences, many headed off to work to resume their busy schedule. RRT were delighted to assist Vinnies with such a great cause and look forward to working with them all again. Thanks to the generosity of all CEOs involved, Vinnies is now well funded for the next 12 months.
