UK – RRT Assisting flood ravaged Communities in Somerset

Saturday 1st February saw the Environment Agency working hard to assist the Communities of Moorlands and North Moor that have been hit by the worst floods for decades.

These small communities situated alongside the tidal River Parrett have endured weeks of anxiety watching the levels rise and experiencing hardship and loss. Some of the farming community have suffered thousands of pounds worth of damage and loss of earnings due to the extreme weather in recent weeks.
